KEOD 2011 - Int'l Conf. on Knowledge Engineering and Ontology Development (Paris/France)

Poraires- Postado em 23 março 2011

KEOD 2011 (the International Conference on Knowledge Engineering and Ontology Development  -http://www.keod.ic3k.org/) has an open call for papers, whose deadline is set for May 10, 2011. We hope you can participate in this conference by submitting a paper reflecting your current research.

This conference will be held in Paris, France, 26-29 of October, 2011.

Hosted by the University PARIS-EST Créteil (UPEC), it will be sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC) in cooperation with the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), and Lissi Laboratory, France. INSTICC is member of the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC), Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents (FIPA) and the Object Management Group (OMG).

This meeting takes place yearly, bringing together top researchers and practitioners in knowledge technologies, especially those related to KEOD main topic areas. The conference is co-located with two related conferences in a joint conference (IC3K - http://www.ic3k.org/) format, namely:
- Knowledge Discovery and Information Retrieval (http://www.kdir.ic3k.org/)
- Knowledge Management and Information Sharing (http://www.kmis.ic3k.org/)
Registration to one conference allows free access to all conferences.

KEOD is interested in promoting high quality research as it can be confirmed by last year's acceptance rates, where from 134 submissions, 10% were accepted as full papers. Additionally, 20% were presented as short papers and 28% as posters.

IC3K is characterized for including  every year the participation of several distinguished invited speakers that highly contribute to heighten the conference level. You can check the complete list of previous invited speakers on-line at http://www.ic3k.org/previous_invited_speakers.asp
This year, the list already includes Prof. Jay Liebowitz but should be enlarged soon.

Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and CD-ROM support. The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by major international indexers, including INSPEC, DBLP, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index and EI. A short list of high quality papers presented at the conference will be selected so that revised and extended versions of these papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in the Communications in Computer and Information Science Series (CCIS). BCIN

Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference closing session. Please check the website for further information (http://www.keod.ic3k.org/best_paper_awards.asp).

All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SciTePress Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/).

Workshops and special sessions are also invited. If you wish to propose a workshop or a special session, for example based on the results of a specific research project, please contact the secretariat. Workshop chairs and Special Session chairs will benefit from logistics support and other types of support, including secretariat and financial support, to facilitate the development of a valid idea.

Don't hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.

Best regards,
Vera Coelho
